What is Ravi yoga?
Ravi yoga is an auspicious muhurta yoga named after Ravi, the Sun. Classically it is present when the Moon sits in a nakshatra that is 4th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 13th or 20th from the Sun nakshatra. The Sun stands for vitality, authority and new beginnings, so days carrying Ravi yoga are considered supportive for starting important work.
The classical rule
Count the nakshatras from the Sun nakshatra to the Moon nakshatra. If the count is 4, 6, 9, 10, 13 or 20, Ravi yoga is present for that overlap in the Panchang day.
