What is Dwipushkara yoga?
Dwipushkara is an auspicious muhurta yoga. It forms when a Bhadra tithi, Dwitiya, Saptami or Dwadashi, falls on a Sunday, Tuesday or Saturday, together with one of the two-footed (dvipada) nakshatras: Mrigashira, Chitra or Dhanishta. The name means that which pushes twofold, and anything begun in this yoga, from a purchase to a new venture, is expected to repeat or double.
How Dwipushkara yoga forms
All three must overlap at some point in the Panchang day. Because the Panchang day starts at sunrise, an overlap in the small hours counts toward the previous sunrise day, which is how almanacs date this yoga.
